Fred Petersen died at the family home out near Spiker on Tuesday morning following but a short illness. The deceased was born in Washington county 29 years ago and had spent most of his years in this county. Funeral services will be held from the home at 2:00 o’clock this afternoon after which burial will be made in Thone cemetery. He is survived by his father, N. H. Petersen; four brothers, Henry of this city, Walter at home, Albert of Kennard and Nels of Spiker; four sisters, Mrs. Albert Christensen of Randall, Minn., Mrs. Morris Christensen of Spiker; Mrs. Walter Wachter of Herman and Mrs. Peter Andersen of Spiker.

Henry Petersen of this city received word of the death of his brother, Freddie Petersen Tuesday, March 20, at his home two mile north of Spiker, after an illness of about a week.

The deceased is the son of Mr. N. H. Petersen and was twenty-nine years of age at the time of his death. He had never been a strong lad and was often in poor health. He attended the Blair schools for a few years.

Besides his father, he is survived by four sisters and four brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Albert Christensen of Randall, Minn., Mrs. Morris Christensen, Mrs. Waldo Wachter and Mrs. Peter Anderson of the vicinity of Herman. The brothers are Henry of Blair, Albert of Kennard, Nels of Herman and Walter who resides at home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o’clock at the home and burial will be made in the Thone Cemetery.
