Funeral services for Hemming Petersen, who died at his home northwest of the city last week, were held at the Rose Hill church on Friday afternoon. The deceased and his wife came to Washington county forty-six years ago and since that time they had lived on a farm near Blair. Four years ago they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Petersen died early last spring. Surviving him are three sons, J. L., and L. P. Petersen of Blair; and Peter X. of Lyons; and four daughters, Mrs. Albert Petersen, Mrs. Shirley Petersen, both of Blair; Mrs. Fred Anderson of Herman and Mrs. George Broderson of Fremont.
