Services For Mrs. Otis Scheer Were Held Tuesday

Services for Mrs. Otis Scheer were held Tuesday, September 22nd, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Mrs. Scheer was stricken with a heart attack on Friday and passed away on Saturday in the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont.

Mrs. Scheer was born near Nickerson on the 22nd day of May, 1912. She passed away at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Mrs. Scheer was confirmed on March 28th, 1926, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. On December 11, 1932, she was married to Otis Scheer. They resided most of their married life on the farm in the Arlington area.

Survivors are her husband Otis, 2 sons, Orwin of Arlington and James of Herman; 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Her mother is Mrs. Friedarike Scheer of Arlington. There is also a brother surviving, Lloyd Scheer of Cook, Nebraska.

Meta Scheer was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Arlington. She was also a member of the Lutheran Ladies League.

Meta and her husband were custodians of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Parish Hall for many years.

Burial was in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.
