Mathew J. Dutton, 24

Mathew John Dutton, 24, of Blair, died Sunday, February 17, 2013, in Lincoln.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 22, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, also at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Mathew John Dutton was born May 31, 1988, in Omaha, to Kim (Stangel) and Terry Dutton. He attended Blair Community Schools, graduating in 2007.

He was studying accounting and finance at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

While at Blair High School, he participated in football, basketball and track. He enjoyed golf, disc golf, and movies, both in the theatre and at home with friends and family.

He loved his dogs, Annie and Maggie, and always looked forward to Minnesota summer vacations with his “vacation” families: the Smiths, Hansens and Leishmans.

He was an avid Husker football fan and enjoyed ALL sports.

He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair.

He is survived by his parents; brothers, Christopher, twin Mark, and Patrick; and sister, Laura; grandfather, Ken Stangel; and Jordan Stilmock – the love of his life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, “Tex” and Dorothy Dutton; grandmother, Mary Lou Stangel; and his beloved dogs, Annie and Maggie.

Memorials can be directed to the Blair Family YMCA and the Blair Basketball Club.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
