SERVICES ARE ON WEDNESDAY FOR VERA SAPPENFIELD

Funeral services for Vera Evelyn Sappenfield, 68, who died July 19, 1981, at Blair Hospital, will be Wednesday, July 22, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church.

Rev. James Metzgar will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Vera Evelyn Sappenfield was born August 4, 1912, in Blair to Charles and Belle Sutherland Lamb. She married Clyde Sappenfield on June 7, 1938, in Blair.

She attended Sutherland School and Blair High School, graduating in 1929. She graduated from Dana College in 1961. She taught in both Washington County country schools and the Blair School system. She retired from teaching in 1974.

One brother, Everett Lamb preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde Sappenfield of Blair; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Kay Beth) Frahm of Blair; and David Sappenfield of Omaha. Five grandchildren also survived her.

Pallbearers for the services will be Lyle Hindley, Raymond Wilson, Clois Coon, Howard Meirhenry, Raymond Jensen, and Don Andersen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Ohrt, Buck Burke, Bob McMillan and Ross Love.

Bette Kirk will be the organist. Sharon Potadle will be the vocalist.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
