Mrs. Walter Sappenfield (Myrta) passed away February 3, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha where she had been for five days following a massive coronary attack.

Mrs. Sappenfield was born February 4, 1883 to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jensen in the Rose Hill School area. She would have been 93 years of age on this Wednesday.

On September 2, 1908, she was married to Walter Sappenfield and they resided in Blair until they moved to a farm in the Rose Hill area.

Following the death of her husband on July 6, 1963, she lived in Blair until December of 1973 when she went to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Simonsen in Omaha.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and also belonged to the Church Circle.

Survivors besides her daughter Dorothy, are a son, James of Harlingen, Texas; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Also two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Ryan and Mrs. Carl Pieper (Clara) both of Blair and a brother , Clarence Jensen of Fremont.

Funeral services will be Thursday (today) at the First Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Rev. Robert Albers and Rev. John Petersen will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. The Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be six nephews: Myron Tofte of Fremont, Clyde Sappenfield, Perry Ryan, Kelly Ryan, Russell Ryan and Robert Ryan.
