Services for James Sappenfield, 84 were Thursday, July 7, 1994 in Dodge City, Kansas.
James Sappenfield was born September 18, 1909 in Washington County to Walter and Mertie Jensen Sappenfield. He was a Blair High School graduate.
During his later years, he was a wheat farmer in the Dodge City area.
He married Bernice Dempsey of Kennard in 1930. They were divorced.
He later married his wife, Edith, who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Simonsen.
He is survived by two sons, Ron of McClain, Virginia and Gary, Omaha; four grandchildren and cousins who still live in Washington County.
