OBITUARY

DIED - - Saturday, April 5, 1890, at her home near Pender, Hannah, wife of David Sappenfield.

The deceased, Hannah Elizabeth Miner, was born in Jersey county, Illinois, in 1858. Her father, Henry Miner, is still living in Washington county, this state.

In August, 1874, she was married to David Sappenfield, in Clay county, Ill. Two years ago she came, with her husband and family, to this place, where she has since made it her home. For more than a year she battled with the dread disease, consumption. While everything has been done that willing hands, prompted by loving hearts, could do, her life could not be saved.

Although she had lived among us so short a time, she had won many warm friends who will miss her, and are filled with sympathy for the bereaved family.

She leaves a husband and five children who will ever hold her in loving remembrance, and must patiently wait for a happy reunion in the Home Eternal. - - Pender Times
