CLYDE G. SAPPENFIELD, 95

Clyde G. Sappenfield, 95, of Blair, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at the First Baptist Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Clyde G. Sappenfield was born Aug. 3, 1910, in Blair. He attended Blair Schools and graduated from Blair High School in 1928.

On June 7, 1938, he married Vera Lamb in Blair. The couple lived most of their lives in Blair.

Mr. Sappenfield worked for Scott Manufacturing Co. in Omaha for 32 years, until retiring in 1975.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blair most of his life.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kay Beth and Don Frahm of Blair; son and daughter-in-law, David and Madonna Sappenfield of Omaha; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Clarence Sappenfield of Denver, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera; one brother; and five sisters.
