WILLIAM SASS, 84

William Sass, 84, of Omaha, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at Maplecrest Nursing Home in Omaha.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington. The Rev. Lawrence Sundell will officiate. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Boys Town.

Visitation will be held from noon until 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8 at Hadan Golden Riechmuth Funeral Home in Bennington.

William Sass was born on May 24, 1916 in Douglas County. Mr. Sass was formerly of Bennington and farmed in the area.

He is survived by a sister, Iris Rix of Junction City, Ore., and by his nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the church or Bennington Schools.
