THEODORE SASS TO BE BURIED IN ELKHORN

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, at 1:30 p.m. for Theodore C.H. Sass who died Tuesday, March 11, 1980, at Blair Memorial Hospital. Rev. John Petersen and Rev. Wayne Ellingson will conduct the services which will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Elkhorn.

Theodore C.H. Sass was born May 1, 1900, at Elk City, Nebraska, to Hans and Ida Sass. He was married to Edith Pierce and was manager of Elkhorn Feed Mill until his retirement. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He and his wife lived at Parkview Manor in Blair at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, Blair; two sons, Theodore Sas (sp?), Jr., Elkhorn; Stanley Sass, Fremont; and two daughters, Mrs. Don Risinger, Denver, Colorado; and Mrs. James O’Malley, Las Vegas, Nevada. Two sisters, Mrs. Robert Betts, Lyons and Mrs. Marvin Baldwin, Spartanburg, South Carolina; two brothers, Claus Sass, Lyons, and William Sass, Uehling; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive him.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Swanson Funeral Home in Elkhorn is in charge of arrangements for the services.
