Dies At Omaha Home

William J. Sullivan Passes Away at Home in Omaha

William J. Sullivan, age 54, died at his home in Omaha last Tuesday, February 7, after a very short illness. The deceased was a son of the late Thomas P. Sullivan, a pioneer farmer of Washington county, and a brother of Mrs. J. W. Lippincott of this city. He was born in Mt. Hope, New Jersey, and came to Nebraska with his parents when a small lad. He grew to manhood on the farm home west of Herman and then went to Omaha where he resided the past thirty-five years. In 1910 he was married to Miss Rose Higgins of Omaha. For many years he had been a commission man in the stock yards and at the time of his death was a prominent member of the live stock exchange.

Surviving him besides Mrs. Lippincott are his bereaved wife; another sister, Mrs. Gilbert Olson, of Herman, Nebr.; and three brothers, Thomas P. and John T. (Jack) of Omaha and Michael M. of New Plymouth, Idaho.

Funeral services were held in Omaha from St. Bridget’s church Thursday morning after which the body was laid to rest in Holy Sepulcher cemetery. He was known for his kindly disposition and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
