Arlington Man Dies

Herman Walkenhorst passed away very suddenly on Friday evening, while eating supper at the home of his son, Fred, with whom he made his home. He had been feeling about the same as usual with the exception of a slight pain which he complained of.

Mr. Walkenhorst was born in Germany in 1844 and came to America when a young man and was one of the early Washington county pioneers. He leaves to mourn his loss, Fred, Henry, John, August, Ed of Madison, Louis of Madison, Mrs. Mary Fredenberg of Madison, Albert of Madison, Mrs. Emma Brinkman of Truman, Minn., and Walter of Cedar Bluffs.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock at the home and 2:00 o’clock at the Brown Creek Lutheran church.
