Robert G. Schneider, 90
Robert G. Schneider, 90, formerly of Fort Calhoun, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the German Cemetery south of Blair.
Robert George Schneider was born November 21, 1922, in Washington County to Peter C. and Clara Benck Schneider.
He grew up in the Wranch School District and attended school there.
He spent many years farming.
His last job was at Bellaire Nursery in Bennington, where he retired.
Mr. Schneider enjoyed polka music and playing cards.
He is survived by four sisters, Geraldine Storjohn of Fremont, Clara Ann Meister of Schuyler, Wilma Jean Geary of Fruita, Colo., and Marilyn Clapper of Ames.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin, Stanley and Bill.
