BLAIR MAN BURIED FRIDAY; BORN IN GERMANY, ONCE LIVED IN DAKOTA

Funeral services were held at Geddes, S. D. Friday for Carl Ahrens of Blair, who died last Tuesday at his home, 406 East Nebraska St. Burial was in Geddes Cemetery, with arrangements made by the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair.

Mr. Ahrens, who was 81 years old, had been ill a month prior to his death.

Native of Germany, he came to the United States as a young man, and he and Maggie Vohn were married in South Dakota 55 years ago. They lived in Geddes many years.

Seven children survive the dead Blairite. Among them are Fred Ahrens of Blair and Mrs. Violet Trowbridge of Herman.
