Alice W. Schafer, 103, died Monday, May 4, 2009, in Omaha.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Alice W. Wilkinson was born Jan. 26, 1906, in Blair to William W. and Maye Wilkinson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Tom Burke; daughter-in-law Jo Schafer; grandchildren, Robyn Freeman, Stephen Roberts, Holly Wichert, Jamie Volkens, Scott Schafer and Peter Schafer; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Schafer; and sons, Harold Jr. and Terry.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church or the Washington County Food Pantry.

John A. Gentleman Mortuary, 72nd Street Chapel, Omaha, is in charge of arrangements.
