Former Blair Man Buried in Decatur

Rites were conducted Saturday, September 22, at Hamel Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah for Louis Wolff of Decatur. Wolff died September 19 at Blair.

Rev. Ralph Ford officiated. Mrs. Lewis Beard was the organist.

Pallbearers were Jamie Chrisman, Ival Clark, William Bus, Charles V.A. Rogers, Greg Hackendahl and Ivan Schulenberger.

Concluding services were at Hillcrest Cemetery in Decatur.

Louis James Wolff, son of Victor E. and Emma K. Kleffner Wolff, was born October 17, 1898, at Blair.

His early years were spent in Blair where he graduated from high school. He later attended Universities in Lincoln and Wisconsin.

He was married to Effie Dimmick of Decatur on February 24, 1923. They had one daughter, Patsy Chrisman of Omaha.

Wolff was a veteran of World War I and was Chief Engineer at Hastings Naval Base during World War II.

On leaving Hastings, he returned to Blair where he was associated with Wolff Pontiac Co. Later he worked for Wilkinson Mfg. Co. at Fort Calhoun until his retirement when the family moved to Omaha.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Effie; daughter Patsy, and five grandchildren, Robert Chrisman, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada; Cheryl Busch, Vickie Clark, Gai Turner and James Chrisman, all of Omaha; seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Arthur Wolff of Omaha.
