Services for Soren Wolsmann, 89, who died September 6, 1986, at the Crowell Home in Blair will be held Friday, September 12, 2 p.m. at Emmaus Lutheran Church. Rev. Ron Feuerhas will officiate and burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Wolsmann was born May 5, 1897, the son of John and Bodil Wolsmann of Orum. He attended Brewster School and graduated from Kennard High School.

He married Clara Follen on May 5, 1922. She preceded him in death on April 13, 1970.

Wolsmann later married Faye Sorensen, who preceded him in death on September 9, 1972.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Roma) Gehrk of Kennard, Mrs. Albert (Lila) Hansen of Blair, Mrs. Roy (Mary Ann) Fauss of Nickerson; one son, John of Blair; two sisters, Mrs. Nels (Meta) Buchardt and Mrs. Ed (Marie) Nielsen, both of Blair; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Steven Fauss, Randy Fauss, Bruce Hansen, Michael Hampton, John Wolsmann, Jr., and Marvin Purcell.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair is in charge of arrangements.

He farmed in the Kennard area and then moved to Blair in 1957. He retired from farming in 1962.
