Boyd E. Wood, 68

Boyd E, Wood, 68, died on Monday, Sept. 5 at the Baptist Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Boyd Wood was born on June 24, 1920 as the son of Walter Elroy Wood and Lorene May Michael Wood in Spanton, Ne. He was united in marriage to Janette Garske on May 17, 1953 in Omaha.

Mr. Wood lived in Omaha prior to moving to Kansas City where he resided for 21 years. He worked for the Ash Grove Cement Company as a Product Distribution Manager for 36 years. He retired from that position in May of 1986. Boyd was a veteran of World War II.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Janette of Kansas City; one step-son, Larry L. Larsen, Sr. of Omaha, one step-grandson, Larry L. Larsen, Jr., of Kansas City; and one step-grand-daughter, Lora Lynn Larsen of Omaha. He is also survived by two sisters, Jean Baer of Omaha and Joyce Petersen also of Omaha, as well as numerous friends and other relatives.

Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. The services will take place at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair with the Rev. Dave Nelson officiating.
