Fontanelle, Aug. 5 - - Mrs. George Schafersman died at Denver, Colo., and the body was brought to Fremont where it will rest until tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the residence here and at the church at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Schafersman spent most of her life in Fontanelle, having attended the schools here when young. She was an estimable young woman, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Waterman. Last spring, she was married to Mr. Schafersman, the ceremony being performed in Arlington, and the young couple left for Stoneham, Colo., to make their home.

About five weeks ago Mrs. Schafersman underwent an operation for appendicitis in a Denver hospital. She was recovering, apparently, when she suffered a stroke of paralysis, which rendered her almost helpless. Her condition has been growing worse ever since. The close relatives besides the young husband are the parents and four brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Schafersman was born December 17, 1885.

MRS. G. SCHAFERSMAN, FORMER FONTANELLE YOUNG WOMAN DEAD

Mrs. George Schafersman died Friday evening, August 2 at Denver, Colorado. The body was taken to Fontanelle for burial. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Waterman and at 11:00 a.m. at the church that day.

Mrs. Schafersman spent most of her life in Fontanelle, having attended the schools there when young. She was an “estimable” young woman, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Waterman. Mrs. George Schafersman, a brinde of four months, died August 2, at a hospital in Denver, Colo., of appendicitis.

Carrie Waterman was born and reared here in Washington County, and was married April 4, 1918, to George Schafersman. They left almost immediately for his farm near Stonehan, Colorado, where they resided until her death only four months later. The remains were brought to Fontanelle, and buried in the family lot in the Lutheran Cemetery near that place.
