VERA SCHAFERSMAN PASSED AWAY ON TUESDAY

Vera H. Schafersman, 48, of Blair, passed away Tuesday night, May 20th at the Blair Hospital.

Mrs. Schafersman had been ill for several months.

She was born September 11, 1920 to Mr. and Mrs. Calle Hansen at Blair.

Mrs. Schafersman was a school teacher for 15 years, teaching in Washington County Schools and at the Horace Mann Jr. High School in Omaha. She was married to Chester Schafersman on July 20, 1945. They lived in Telbasta for ten years, moving to Blair in 1959. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Blair.

Survivors include her husband Chester; one son, Leroy, who is married and in the service; one daughter, Carole, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calle Hansen of Blair; and three sisters, Mrs. Leslie Kruger of Omaha, Mrs. Douglas Steenblock of Fremont and Mrs. Alfred Benes of Fremont.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, May 24th, at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
