VIRGINIA SCHAFERSMAN, 77

Virginia “Ginny” K. Schafersman, 77, of Fremont, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, in her home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 9, at the Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Robert Kocher officiated. Interment was at Memorial Cemetery.

Virginia Weir was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Omaha. She graduated from Central High School in Omaha and attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont for three years. On July 17, 1943, she was married to B.T. “Boney” Schafersman in Hollywood, Fla.

Mrs. Schafersman was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont for 57 years.

She is survived by her husband; by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Sandy Schafersman of Fremont and David and Jan Schafersman of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Cheri Cruthoff of Fremont; mother, Hazel Dill of Fremont; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Memorials are suggested to the Salem Lutheran Church Endowment Fund. Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
