SAMUAL SCHAKAT DIED AT FREMONT HOSPITAL

88 year-old Amuel (sp) F. Schakat passed away on Friday, November 25, 1977, at the Fremont Hospital. Funeral services were on Tuesday, November 29th.

Samual Schakat was born on September 22, 1889 in Germany. He was a retired farmer and lived at 1315 Nebraska Street in Blair. His wife, the former Augusta Lebbert, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on November 29th in the First Lutheran Church in Blair. The Rev. Robert Albers and the Rev. John Peterson will officiate with burial in the Flower Hill Cemetery in Bennington. Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving children include the following: Clarence Schakat, Kennard; Fred Schakat, Omaha; Mrs. Elmer (Ella) Andersen, Omaha. There are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There is one surviving brother: Karl Schakat of Bennington.

Pallbearers are: Don Sweazy, Ben Sweazy, Ellis Rhoades, Wayne Lebbert, Art Schakat, and Eldon Johnson.
