FRANCES “PEGGY” SCHARF, 72
Frances Jean “Peggy” Scharf, 72, of Fort Calhoun, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Omaha.
Services were Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun. Rev. Hugh Schwartz officiated. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Mrs. Scharf was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Winnepeg, Canada. She graduated from Tech High School in Omaha. She was a bookkeeper. On July 17, 1944, she married George W. Scharf in Papillion, Nebr.
She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.
Survivors are her husband, George; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Tim James, Garland, Tex.; Pamela and Warren Haffke, Fort Calhoun and Penny Spry, Omaha; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Townsend, Warren Haffke, Paul Snyder, Jason Spry, Ed Hron and Jerry Luedders.
Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
