GEORGE W. SCHARF, 72
George W. Scharf, 72, of Fort Calhoun, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.
Services were Saturday, Sept. 11 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ft. Calhoun. Burial was in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery.
George W. Scharf was born November 22, 1926 to Fred and Mabel (Buss) Scharf of Omaha.
On July 17, 1944, he married Frances Jean Parks.
He owned and operated aerial delivery service in Omaha.
He enjoyed camping and gardening, and was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair.
He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pat and Tim James of Ft. Calhoun; Pamela and Warren Haffke of Ft. Calhoun; and Penny Spry of Omaha; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Frances.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
