ALICE E. SCHEER, 82
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, June 15 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington for Alice E. Scheer, 82, who died June 12, 1989 at her home in Fremont. Rev. Dennis Maaske is officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Alice E. Scheer was born June 15, 1906 in rural Arlington. She grew up on a farm northeast of Arlington. She lived there until 1984 at which time she moved to Fremont to live with her daughter.
She married Alfred H. Scheer September 19, 1926. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1979.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington and a former member of the church’s Ladies Aid.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna Stork Walkenhorst; her husband; two brothers, Lawrence and Alvin; and a sister, Henrietta.
She is survived by two sons, Duane of Fremont and Loren of Arlington; one daughter, Maxine Robinson, Fremont; and one sister, Lea Schmidt of Arlington. Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive her.
Pallbearers are Ronald Scheer, Steven Scheer, Kenneth Scheer, Kevin Scheer, Randall Robinson and Lance Robinson.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Chapel in Arlington.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements for the services.
