Mardelle A. Lang, 89

Mardelle A. Lang, 89, of Blair, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Mardelle Arlene Kuhlmann was born March 30, 1923, in Herman to Chriss and Marie (Mengedeht) Kuhlmann. She grew up in Herman and attended New England School until the 10th grade.

She was engaged to Harold Lang prior to World War II. After he left with the U.S. Army for Europe, she worked various places.

After he returned from the war, they were married on January 11, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. The couple moved to a farm south of Herman and lived there until 1983 when they retired and moved to Blair.

Mrs. Lang enjoyed attending any events involving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Trinity Women’s Guild and the American Legion Auxiliary in Herman.

She is survived by her children and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bonnie Lang of Herman and Linda Lang of Omaha; brother, Darrell Kuhlmann; grandchildren, Kyna (Dillon) Engelhart and Kelsey (Ryan) Sass; and six great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and daughter, Judy Meyer.

Memorials may be directed to the Blair Rescue Squad.
