Lillie M. Woodcock, 88

Lillie M. Woodcock, 88, of Lincoln, died Sept. 12, 2004, at Bryan LGH East Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Interment was at Fremont’s Memorial Cemetery.

Lillie M. Woodcock was born Jan. 18, 1916, in the Admah community of Washington County to Anton and Emilie (Dam) Petersen. She grew up in Admah; moved to Hooper as a teenager, and graduated from Hooper High School.

After her marriage to David Woodcock on Sept. 12, 1937, at Grace Lutheran Church in Hooper, they lived on a farm north of Fontanelle. They moved to Fremont in 1960. In Fremont she was employed at the former Kelly’s IGA. After her husband’s death in 1967, she moved to Lincoln in 1974, where she worked at Leon’s Grocery Store.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Melissa Woodcock of Albuquerque, N.M., and Rodney and Colleen Woodcock of Prescott, Ariz; daughter and son-in-law, Emily and David Smith of Lincoln; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle.
