Kaye L. Woodring, 81

Former Blair resident Kaye L. Woodring, 81, of Pattonsburg, Mo., died April 19, 2004, at an area health care center.

Funeral services were held April 22 at Roberson Funeral Home in Pattonsburg. Interment was a Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens.

Kaye L. Woodring was born Feb. 18, 1923, in Omaha to Harry and Ruth (Mavis) Dirgo.

She attended Dana College in Blair. She married Arnold “Swede” Woodring, and they lived in Blair for a number of years before moving back to the family farm in Missouri.

Mrs. Woodring had been a cook for the Pattonsburg School System. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Crossroads Community Club of Pattonsburg.

Survivors include four daughters, Gloria Drummond of Yuba City, Calif., Marcia Devore of Trimble, Ml., Donna Gardner and Jo Booth, both of Pattonsburg; a son, Walter Woodring of Omaha; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Anderson of Audubon, Iowa; two brothers, Harry Dirgo of Omaha and George Dirgo of Harlan, Iowa; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jack and Maxine Rathjen of Fort Calhoun, and brother-in-law, John Swingholm of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; two daughters, Barbara Hopfenzitz and Gayle Robertson and two grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Pattonsburg First Responders.
