DEAN D. SCHEER, 77

Arlington native Dean D. Scheer, 77, of North Olmsted, Ohio, died Thursday, April 30, 2009, following a brief illness.

Services were Tuesday, May 5, at Ascension Lutheran Church in North Olmsted.

Dean D. Scheer was born and raised in Arlington, and graduated from the University of Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (Farley) Scheer; four sons: Alan of Trumansburg, N.Y.; James of Bay Village, Ohio; Steven of Avon Lake, Ohio; and the Rev. Michael Scheer of Slippery Rock, Penn; eight grandchildren; sister, Lee Adell Starkey of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale.
