Funeral services for Bill Work age 22 of Herman, Nebraska were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 26 at the Country Bible Church in Blair with burial in the Herman Cemetery.

Bill died on Friday, June 23, 1989 after having been in a car accident south of Tekamah, Nebraska.

William Dale Work was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 22, 1967 to LaVern and Ruth Work. He attended Blair Elementary School and after the family moved to Herman he attended and graduated from Tekamah-Herman High School.

While in Blair he enjoyed playing Blair Little League Baseball, and in high school lettered in football, wrestling and track. He received all conference, and all-state honors in football in 1984-1985, placed fourth in the state wrestling tourney in 1984 and third place in 1985.

Bill was a member of the Tekamah Area Jaycees, member of the Blair Pizza Hut softball team was assistant coach for the Herman Wrestling Club.

Bill is survived by his parents, LaVern and Ruth Work of Herman; four brothers and one sister, Joseph Work, Wayne, Nebraska; James Work, Omaha, Nebraska; Robert Work, Thomas Work, Nancy Work of Herman, Nebraska. He is also survived by two half-brothers and two half-sisters, Dan Work and Don Work of Phoenix, Arizona; Sharon Burns, Lead, South Dakota; and Laura McKay of Windover, Utah.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
