HARRISON A. WORLEY

Harrison A. Worley was born in Polk County, Iowa, Sept. 9, 1862 and died January 10, 1924 at the home of his nephew, Ed Worley of near Ft. Calhoun.

He came to Nebraska from Bedford, Iowa about thirty-two years ago and has lived in and around Blair since that time.

He leaves three brothers and three sisters to mourn him besides numerous friends.

The funeral services were held at the Christian Church on Monday afternoon with Rev. Camp officiating and interment made in the Blair Cemetery.

Harrison A. Worley died at the home of his nephew, Edward A. Worley, who lives about three miles east of Ft. Calhoun, at about noon last Thursday of heart failure. He was sitting in his chair and was suddenly stricken, death resulting immediately. The funeral was held at the Christian Church in this city at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery. Deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Worley and was born in Polk County, Sept. 9, 1862, so was not yet 62 years of age. He came to this county from Bedford, Ia., 32 years ago and has lived in the county ever since. He was never married. He leaves three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. L. Carter, of Los Angeles; Mrs. Joe Epling, of Spencer, Neb.; Mrs. Mary Smith, of this city; John, of Ft. Calhoun; James, of Omaha and Frank of Sac City, Ia. All were present for the funeral but Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Epling. Mr. Worley was a great lover of horses and won several prizes at the Blair horse shows for having the best team in the county. The suddenly bereaved relatives have the sincere sympathy of many friends.
