Jack Edward Worm, 74

Services for Jack Edward Worm, 74 of Fort Calhoun who died February 8, 1994 at Immanuel Medical Center are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 10 at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Rev. Gale Prentice will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Jack Edward Worm was born August 27, 1919 in Omaha to Louis Joseph and Liddia Mae Marsh Worm. He had a high school education and was a former tavern owner in Benson.

He served in the United States Army from April 27, 1942 to October 21, 1945, leaving the Army a Staff Sgt. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II and received the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 1 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3421, both in Omaha.

He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and JoAnne Worm of Omaha; three nieces, Roberta Worm and Diane Worm, both of Omaha and Jackie Worm of Seal Beach, California; a cousin, Bill McDonnell of Seattle, Washington and a grand niece and grand nephew, Abbi and Jeremy Jones.

Pallbearers are Gale Maine, John Arnold, Don Graves, Pete Bartling, Clifford Morris and Harold Weathers, all members of the Veterans Post in Fort Calhoun.
