HOWARD H. SCHEER, 74

Howard H. Scheer, 74, of Arlington, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 14, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. Interment was in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Howard H. Scheer was born June 12, 1931, in Arlington to George and Hannah (Krug) Scheer. He lived his entire life in the Arlington area, where he attended St. Paul Lutheran School and Arlington High School.

As a young man, he farmed near Arlington and then worked for the former Nebraska Crib and Silo, which has become Stormor in Fremont. After the business closed, he worked at Robotics and Automation in Fremont until his retirement in 1995.

On April 12, 1969, he married Lila Greunke at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Mr. Scheer was a member of St. Paul’s.

He is survived by his wife, Lila and a sister, Adeline Lucas of St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Gretchen Sheets; an infant brother; and brother, Gerald “Tony” Scheer.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Arlington Fire and Rescue Department.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
