Alvin Otto Wrich, 68, of Omaha, formerly of Kennard, died Monday, Aug. 31, 1998, at Aksarben Manor in Omaha.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair, who is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the German Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Alvin Otto Wrich was born June 13, 1930, in Orum to Otto and Dora (Wiese) Wrich. He attended Blair High School.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He was awarded two bronze stars from being wounded.

He lived most of his life in Kennard and Omaha.

He worked for Omaha Steel until retiring in 1992.

He is survived by four children, Terry Wrich of Blair, Cynthia Bond of Arlington, Mary Lou Satterfield and Julie Boyce of Blair; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his mother, Dora Wrich of Blair; one sister, LeuEtta Wulbern of Kennard; and two brothers, Andrew of Kennard and Larry of Fairmont.
