Services for Helen Wrich, 93 of Blair who died June 16, 1995 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 20 at First United Methodist Church in Blair with burial in the German Cemetery north of Bennington. A prayer service was held at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home Monday evening.

Helen Hansen Wrich was born November 25, 1901 on a farm south of Kennard to Albert and Hulda Nelson Hansen. She attended Rispin School and spent a brief time at Midland College in Fremont.

She was confirmed at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha.

She married Harry Wrich of Kennard June 6, 1923. They spent the next 46 years on the Wrich farm south of Kennard. In 1969 they retired from the farm and moved to Blair.

She was a member of extension clubs, was a 4-H club leader and active in the Grace Methodist Church in Kennard. She and her husband did extensive traveling with Soil Conservation groups throughout the United States and Europe.

After the death of her husband, she continued to be active in the church, Senior Center, War Mothers, Bloodmobile, Hospital Auxiliary and providing taxi service for friends.

Shortly before her 90th birthday she moved to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, grandson, parents and two brothers.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jeanette and Ray Schneider, Virgil and Shirley Wrich and William “Bill” Wrich, all of Washington County; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Inez Zeman of Lincoln and two sisters-in-law, Hulda Wrich of Blair and Rosemary Hansen of Omaha.
