Funeral services are pending for W. Dwight Wrich, 38, of Omaha, who died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000.

Wrich is survived by his wife, Patricia, and children, Morgan and Carsten; parents, Bill and Joyce Wrich of Kennard; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Scott Kerber of Blair, Jacque and Mike Salerno of Omaha, and Gayle Kauffman of Kennard; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Chris Larsen of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Richard Larsen of Omaha.

W. Dwight Wrich, 38

W. Dwight Wrich, 38, of Omaha, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 4, at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Omaha. Interment was at the Prairie View Cemetery in Kennard.

W. Dwight Wrich was born July 18, 1962, in Blair to William and Joyce (Larsen) Wrich.

He graduated from Arlington High School in 1980, and from the University of Nebraska in 1984.

On June 24, 1988, he married Patricia Kowal in Omaha.

Mr. Wrich was a financial consultant for Wells Fargo Investment Services in Omaha for the past 12 years. He was also one of the hosts of the Wells Fargo Financial Planning Hour on KFAB radio for the past nine years.

He started racing stock cars in the late 1970’s. He raced at Sunset Speedway in Omaha, Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa and the Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa.

He also raced at county fairs. Mr. Wrich said that winning the “Tiny Lund Memorial 2000” in Harlan was one of his greatest victories. His other passions included family, friends, golf, basketball and weekend farming.

He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Kappa Chapter Alumni – UNL, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Masonic Lodge (Waterloo Lodge #102 A.F.& M. in Elkhorn)

Wrich is survived by his wife, Patty, and children, Morgan and Carsten; parents, Bill and Joyce Wrich of Kennard; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Scott Kerber of Blair, Jacque and Mike Salerno of Omaha, and Gayle Kauffman of Kennard; and brothers and sister-in-law, Randy and Chris Larsen of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Richard Larsen of Omaha; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark and Dena Kowal, and Christ Kowal, all of Omaha, Dan and Helen Kowal of Seal Beach, Calif., Debi Guthrie of Omaha, Therese Trombino of Nebraska City, Laurie and Terrry Straw, Mary and Mike Kelley, Judy and Gary Zavitz, all of Omaha, and Lisa and Jim Moyer of Nebraska City, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Morgan and Carsten Education Fund at the Wells Fargo Bank in Millard.
