Ardene Wright, 81

Former Blair resident Ardene Wright, 81, of Stanton, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at the Stanton Health Center.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Westlawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Ardene Steil was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Stanton, to George and Ruth (Pittack) Steil. She graduated from South High School in Omaha and from Immanuel Nursing School.

On May 30, 1948, she married Marvin Wright in Omaha.

The couple lived in Grand Island, Madison and Norfolk, where Mrs. Wright was a hospital nurse. They also lived in Bloomfield until 1978 when they moved to Blair. During that time, she did bookkeeping for Marvin’s Trucking Business.

In 2002, they moved to Battle Creek and they moved to Stanton in 2004.

Mrs. Wright loved to garden, raise flowers, and cook. She was an avid Nebraska fan, holding season tickets along with husband, Marvin.

Her love for family led to Mr. and Mrs. Wright raising two of their grandchildren.

She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was involved in Ladies Aide and Bible studies.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband, Marvin, of Stanton; sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen of Logan, Utah, and Dick and Kris Wright of Stanton; daughter Cindy Kryscio of Halifax, Penn.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Phyllis Kurth of Elgin, Ill., Beth Zoble of Yorkville, Ill., and Maxine (Mickey) Steil of Rhinelander, Wis.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald.
