JOHN B. WRIGHT IS DEAD AT AGE OF 58

RITES HELD SUNDAY FOR LIFELONG RESIDENT OF WASHINGTON COUNTY

A lifelong resident of Washington county, John B. Wright of Kennard, brother of T.H. Wright of Blair, died at that village Friday, June 30, after having been partially incapacitated from a paralytic stroke for the past five years.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral home Sunday afternoon at three o’clock and burial was made in the Blair cemetery. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. J.A. Chamberlain of Los Angeles, and two brothers, Walter E. Wright of Chicago and T. H. Wright of Blair. The Chicago brother arrived in Blair Sunday morning to attend the services.

Mr. Wright, a son of pioneer Washington county residents, was born in the Maney vicinity, December 5, 1874, and would have been 59 had he lived until next December. He had never married.

For many years Mr. Wright was a photographer, but he was compelled to retire from that business following the stroke of paralysis. For a short time he lived with the Wright’s at Blair but later returned to Kennard, where he opened up a confectionery shop, which he conducted until the time of his death.
