Funeral services for France Wubbenhorst, age 98 of Mesa, Arizona who died at Good Shepherd Villa Care Center in Mesa August 4, 1991 are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 8 at the Herman Baptist Church.

Frances Wubbenhorst, the daughter of Frank and Mary Stanek was born on a farm north-west of Snyder, Nebraska February 2, 1893. The family moved to Dodge, Nebraska and in 1904 to Howells, Nebraska. She attended country schools in this area and later worked in a dry goods store in Howells.

She married Henry Wubbenhorst on April 10, 1928. They farmed west of Herman, living on the farm until 1946 and then moved to the town of Herman, continuing to farm. She remained in Herman until December, 1982 at which time she moved to Mesa, Arizona. She had been a resident of the Good Shepherd Villa Care Center in Mea since September 1986.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1960, two brothers, Joseph and Frank Stanek, and two sisters, Agnes Stanek and Marie Fellows.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Helen of Mesa, Arizona, nieces and nephews.
