Alvin Wulf, 95

Alvin Wulf, 95, of Kennard, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Burial will be in the German Cemetery.

Alvin Wulf was born Oct. 29, 1913, in rural Blair to Gustav and Katherina (Struck) Wulf. He attended the Sutherland School.

On Dec. 5, 1938, he married Lillie Puls. They farmed west of Blair after their marriage and, in 1958, moved to rural Kennard, where they resided until the time of his death.

Mr. Wulf served on the rural Kennard fire board, was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, where he served as treasurer and president, and he also served on the ASCS Board and German Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lillie; daughter Karen Dickey of Omaha; sons and daughter-in-law, Ron, of Kennard, and Roger and Deb of Omaha; one grandson; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Motz.

Memorials are suggested to Emmaus Lutheran Church, Kennard Fire and Rescue Departments or the German Cemetery.

VISITATION begins at 11 am Monday with the family receiving friends from 6-8pm. Memorial to Emmaus Lutheran Church, Kennard Fire and Rescue Departments or the German Cemetery.
