Services For Bernard D. Wulf Are Today

Lifetime Farmer Had Been in Falling Health For Months

Funeral services are being held today for Bernard D. Wulf, lifetime resident and farmer of the Orum vicinity west of Blair. Mr. Wulf, who was 62 years of age, died suddenly Monday following many months of failing health.

The deceased was born December 3, 1907 on the farm on which he lived at the time of his death. He was the son of the late and well remembered Detluf Wulf and Sena Jensen who, likewise, were early day residents of Washington County.

Mr. Wulf grew up in the Orum and Rose Hill vicinities and was married to Miss Lois Hansen, of Blair, on February 21, 1933. The couple was married in Red Oak, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Lois, and by a son, Dean, who is at home. A brother, James Wulf also resides in the area. A son of the couple died in infancy.

Funeral services are being held today at the Orum Immanuel Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Harold C. Jorgensen, of Blair, will conduct the service and burial will be made in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home in Blair.

Pallbearers will be Larry Petersen, Edward Newkirk, George Mencke, Roy Rahlfs, Emmett Rogert and Clifford Staben.
