Columbus Wulf Buried Tuesday

Mr. Columbus Wulf passed away Saturday, October 28th at the Blair Community Hospital at the age of 80.

Mr. Wulf was born July 9, 1887 to Henry and Elizabeth (Soll) Wulf on a farm near Ft. Calhoun.

He grew up in Washington and Douglas County.

He was baptized and confirmed in St. Johns Lutheran Church in Bennington on Nov. 22, 1948. On Feb. 14, 1912 he was united in marriage to Magdalena C. Logemann. They spent their entire life on a farm near Bennington until they moved to Blair in December of 1950.

To them three children were born: one daughter Loretta and two sons Elmer and Roy. Loretta was married to Chris Johannsen and she preceded her father in death on Jan. 27, 1943.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Magdalena, two sons Elmer of Blair, Roy of Omaha, Route 2, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also a brother Frank of Omaha, Paul of Kennard, two sisters Mrs. Martha Schwock of Waterloo and Mrs. Katie Steinert of Bennington.

His parents, three brothers Fred, Henry, Peter, three sisters Minnie, Cecelia and Tracy preceded him in death. A brother George passed away on the same day, Oct. 28, 1967 at his home in Wyoming.

The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Services were held at the First Lutheran Church on October 31st at 2 P.M. The Rev. George Palleson officiated and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donald and Robert Wulf, Clarence Schneekloth, Lawrence Schwock, Kenneth Steinert and Orville Logeman.
