MRS. ELIZABETH WULF HAD BEEN IN FAILING HEALTH ONLY SHORT TIME

Mrs. Elizabeth Soll Wulf, mother of 11 surviving children, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Steinert of Irvington, Sunday after an illness of several weeks. She was 83 years old.

Born April 15, 1861, Mrs. Wulf was a native of Schleswig, Germany. She had resided in Nebraska, however, for 73 years.

Arriving in America at the age of 10 years, she lived for a time north of Irvington with her parents. In 1880 she was married to Henry Wulf, and the couple farmed until 1918. They retired to Blair, where Mr. Wulf died in the same year. For the past few years, Mrs. Wulf had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Steinert.

She is survived by seven sons and four daughters: Fred and Henry of Pine Bluffs, Wyo.; Columbus of Irvington; George of Albion, Wyo; Pete of Bennington; Frank of Omaha, Paul of Kennard. Mrs. Otto Schneekloth of Irvington; Mrs. Herman Schwock of Waterloo; Mrs. James Sunds of Omaha; and Mrs. Geo. Steinert of Irvington. One brother, John Soll of Omaha, and a sister, Mrs. Lena Khndt of Canada, survive as do 31 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. W.F.V. Churchill officiated at funeral services held at St. John’s church in Bennington, Wednesday, followed by burial in the German cemetery. Pallbearers were Earl Logeman, Harold Newhaus, Norman Schneekloth, Roy Wulf, Donald Wulf, and Melvin Steinert.
