FRANCES M. WEBB IS BURIED AT KENNARD

Frances M. Webb, aged 75 years, father of Lee Webb of Orum, died suddenly of heart failure Friday evening while in the yard near the home of his son. Mr. Webb was apparently in good health up to the time of his demise, and his sudden death was a great shock to his relatives. Mr. Webb was born in the south and served in the confederate army, and laid down his arms at the surrender of the war. He moved to Missouri, and there his wife died, leaving him with one son, Lee, and two daughters who are married and living in the south. For the past three years he has made his home with his son, Lee, in Orum, and he was greatly-beloved for his many sterling qualities and will be especially missed by his little grandchildren there. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Kennard, and were in charge of the local minister. The remains were laid to rest in the Kennard cemetery. A large number of neighbors and friends attended the service.

Note: From Kennard Cemetery records: born 15 July 1843; died 5 April 1918; buried in Blk 3 Lot 18 Sp 2.
