KENNARD LADY DIES

MRS. ELIZA BELLOWS DIED LAST SATURDAY AFTERNOON

Mrs. Eliza Bellows died at her home in Kennard Saturday afternoon following an illness of four weeks with heart trouble. She had not been in the best of health for several months. The deceased was born in Indiana in 1849 and moved to Iowa in 1888. A year ago she came to Kennard to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Miller.

She is survived by her husband; a son in Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Miller of Kennard and another daughter of Farmland, Indiana. There are also nine grandchildren. The body was taken over to Linden, Iowa, on Tuesday afternoon where it was laid to rest in the cemetery near that place.

Mrs. Eliza Bellows, 79 years of age, passed away Saturday morning after a four weeks serious illness although she had been very frail for many months. Mrs. Bellows was born in Indiana, August 15, 1849, moving to Iowa more than forty-two years ago, coming to Kennard about a year ago to make her home near her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Miller. She is survived by her husband; one son in Indianapolis, Ind.; and two daughters, one living in Farmland, Ind., and Mrs. Miller of Kennard; and 9 grandchildren. She has one brother and one sister living in Indiana and a number of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at Linden, Iowa, at 2 p.m., Tuesday with interment at that place.
