SERVICES FOR OTIS SCHEER DECEMBER 2

Services for Otis A. Scheer, Arlington, were held Thursday, December 2, 1976, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington. Reverend Robert Backhus was the officiating pastor. Interment was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Otis A. Scheer was born August 26, 1909 in the Arlington area to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scheer. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School near Arlington. His marriage to his wife, Mata, took place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Together they farmed and raised a family near Arlington. She preceded him in death in 1970.

He is survived by two sons, Orvin Scheer, Arlington and James Scheer, of Fremont. Four sisters, Mrs. Lilly Krohn, Omaha, Mrs. Wilma Krohn, Omaha, Mrs. Esther Grebe and Mrs. Helen Geisler, both of Fremont; and Mrs. Freda Walkenhorst, of Arlington; four brothers of Arlington, Obert Scheer, Oscar Scheer, Alfred Scheer, and Wallace Scheer; and seven grandchildren.

The family has requested that memorials be sent to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Expansion Fund.

Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
