ROSA SCHEER, 79

Funeral services for Rosa Scheer, 79, of Arlington were held Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlignton.

Rev. Dennis Maaske will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donald Dau, Ronald Krohn, Wayne Krohn, Harold Krohn, Duane Scheer, Ted Walkenhorst, Glen Echtenkamp and Marlin Scheer.

Rosa died January 4, 1988, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County, Fremont.

She was born January 9, 1908 in Avoca, Iowa, to Ferdinand and Emma (Krohn) Krohn.

She was raised in Avoca. On June 1, 1941, she married Waldemar “Wallace” Scheer in Avoca. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Arlington.

Rosa was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League at Arlington.

Survivors include her husband Wallace; brothers Emil and Harry Krohn, both of Avoca; sister Mrs. Gifford (Linda) Schnepel of Minden, Iowa, and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Albert and Rudolph Krohn.

Memorials may be given to the St. Paul’s Building Fund.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home of Arlington handled the arrangements.

Rosa Scheer was born January 9, 1908 at Avoca, Iowa. She was the daughter of August and Emma Krohn. Rosa was baptized August 29, 1909 and confirmed April 1, 1923 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church at Avoca. She married Waldemar “Wallace” Scheer on June 1, 1941 at Avoca. After her marriage, they moved to a farm near Arlington where she resided until her death.

Rosa was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a member of the Women’s Missionary League.

She passed from this life on Monday, January 4, 1988 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 25 days. She is survived by her husband, Wallace; two brothers, Emil and Harry Krohn, both of Avoca, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Gifford (Linda) Schnepel of Minden, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Albert and Rudolph Krohn.
