FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TUESDAY FOR VERDELL O. SCHEER

Verdell O. Scheer, 28, 1910 N. Pratte Street, Fremont died suddenly early Saturday morning at his home. He was a salesman for Chevrolet. Mr. Scheer was born April 4, 1932 at Arlington, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Scheer. He was baptized April 24, 1932 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Arlington by Rev. G.W. Walter. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and on April 14th was confirmed by Rev. Carl Hellmann. He attended Arlington High School. On May 10, 1953, he married Phyllis Franke at Trinity Lutheran church in Fremont of which he was a member. For the past two years he worked at Grant’s and before that at Adams Motors and at his own service station in Arlington. They had just moved to Fremont this fall from Arlington.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Randy and Gregg; two brothers, Wayne of Fremont and Marlin of Arlington; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sophie Dickmeyer and Mrs. Wilma Scheer, both of Arlington. Services will be Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Lattin and Dugan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
