BILLY SCHEFFLER SUCCUMBS TO LEUKEMIA

Services Tomorrow For 12 Year Old Son Of Orville Scheffler

William Scheffler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Scheffler of this city, passed away last Tuesday afternoon at five o’clock at Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha. He was twelve years of age, having been born on April 7, 1932. William had been ill for the past six weeks, the cause of his untimely death being acute leukemia.

He will be sorely missed by his family and friends, and leaves to mourn his loss his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Scheffler and one brother, James, fourteen years of age, besides a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon tomorrow, Friday, at the Campbell Mortuary, with interment in the Blair cemetery.

DIES OF BLOOD DISORDER

BILLY SCHEFFLER, 12, PASSED AWAY TUESDAY AFTER SIX-WEEK ILLNESS

Ill for six weeks with acute leukemia, Billy Scheffler, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Scheffler of Blair, died late Tuesday afternoon at Clarkson hospital in Omaha.

No cure is known for leukemia, and although several transfusions were given in an effort to restore Billy to health, he failed to rally.

Born April 7, 1932, he had spent his entire life in Blair. He was a seventh grade student at Blair Central School.

Survivors include the parents, one brother, Jimmy, 14, and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon, from Campbell’s Mortuary, with burial in Blair Cemetery.
